The Citrix XenServer program will be of most interest to those partners who fit the following profile:
- Partners with expertise in infrastructure management and services, such as a Citrix XenApp partner, Sun Tarantella or Microsoft Terminal Services partner
- Partners with an expertise in virtualization such as VMware, Microsoft Softgrid
- An adjacent market with complementary revenue benefits as a result of server virtualization are any partners that are resellers in the storage world (SAN, iSCSI etc)
- Partners that have a solid server hardware foundation (IBM, HP, Sun, Dell etc). Requires strength in professional services and uses a consultative solution selling approach.

Certification
To obtain the full benefits of being a certified Solution Advisor for XenServer you simply have to have one sales person and one technical person from your organization take our FREE online sales and technical training plus the technical exam.
- Sales requirement: CTX-1638AW: Citrix XenServer: Selling and Positioning (1 hour eLearning course; the previous version of this course CTX-1632AW is valid for the CCSP 2008 requirement)
- Technical requirement: Citrix Certified Administrator for XenServer Enterprise Edition 4
Completing this certification requires participating in preparation training and then taking an exam 1Y0-A01.
Preparation training options include either taking:
Option 1: CTX-2400BW Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition 4.1: Administration - this is a 10 hour online technical training with remote lab access. Vouchers for this training can be obtained FREE of charge as a benefit of membership in the program.
or
Option 2: CTX-2401BI Citrix XenServer Enterprise Edition 4.1: Administration - this 2 day classroom training course can be purchased at a Citrix Authorized Learning Center (CALC). Many of Citrix Authorized Distributors for XenServer, shown below, are authorized as CALCs today. To find an Authorized Learning Center near you, please click here.
